I already had the car. What I did not have were the wheels I could see in my mind. When I began searching for them, the idea that would become Tailored Wheels began to take shape. Today this black 2008 Corvette C6 Z06 is Promo Car 01 — the car that carries the story forward.

I found wheels I liked, but the colour was wrong, the details I wanted to change were fixed, the dimensions did not suit the car or the complete solution could not be delivered. I was looking for quality, individuality and the freedom to shape the details around the car. I did not want to choose another colour or size from a catalogue. I wanted to create a setup that felt right for the Corvette — and was clearly different from what you normally see.
03 / THE WHEEL PROJECT
We chose an assertive staggered direction: three-piece forged wheels measuring 20×10 at the front and 21×12 at the rear. Bronze, polished depth and a dark inner barrel give the black car a clear signature without taking away its Corvette identity.
When the wheels arrived, I was incredibly excited and genuinely uncertain. This was not an off-the-shelf order, and the dimensions were more ambitious than most people choose. Until the first wheel was out of the box and standing in front of me, I could not know how the result would feel in real life. That was the moment the project became physical.

The goal was never attention for its own sake. I wanted the car to make it clear that this was not an ordinary wheel setup. If an enthusiast stopped, looked again and came over for a conversation, the Corvette had done its job.
Now the car will travel with me to the places where enthusiasts meet. Not as a display piece behind a barrier, but as a way to show what is possible — and to begin a good conversation about cars, wheels and the ideas people carry with them.
